Come take a journey with us down the “Wild and Scenic” Deschutes River! A beautiful high desert river rimmed with basalt cliffs, lined with alders, and juniper, and adorned with heron, river otter, deer, and of course fish!

We offer guided drift boat fly fishing trips on the Deschutes River for Wild Trout and Steelhead!

One of the most popular and spectacular Deschutes River fly fishing trips is a 2-5 day float, covering over thirty miles of river. We make multiple camps along the way, sparing no expense in making you comfortable.

The world famous Deschutes Salmon Fly hatch runs from mid May through mid June. Book early to experience the best dry fly fishing of the season, prime dates fill up quickly!

After the Salmon Fly hatch it is mainly a caddis show, with some mayfly hatches to keep it interesting.Trout fishing is very good and often incredible through out the rest of the summer, with the added benefit of the river being a little less busy!

The first Deschutes summer run steelhead enter the river in early July. From July through October River Borne Outfitters runs jet boat fly fishing trips for steelhead on the lower twenty four miles of river.

Gear fishing is available for those who choose not to fly fish!

The fall is prime time for Steelhead! September and October are the most productive months for steelhead fishing on the Deschutes River. Day floats and multi day drift and jet boat trips are available throughout this time.

The fishing stays good for Steelhead through November and into December but the weather conditions determine the days you can fish.
