I just wanted to let you know that we had an exceptional trip this week. All things considered, it was certainly up there among the best trips I’ve ever had. We tagged into 6 fish, caught 3-4 (depending on your definition... We had one wild fish break off right at our feet....) and were treated very very well.

Hey Vail,
Just wanted to give you a quick shout and say thanks to you and Sam for putting together a great trip for my friends. They had a blast.
Sam is a badass river cowboy. I would definitely book him again.
I'm sure you got the report, but in a day and a half the group hooked around a dozen fish on flies and spinners and put eight to hand, including two on the swing Sunday a.m. But the jet boat ride was the real highlight. What a thrill. Sam is a hell of a captain and he put smiles on everybody's faces.

"The trip I took with Vail on the Deschutes two years ago is still one of the best fly trips I've ever been on. When we arrived at the put-in, the waters were murky brown from a freak flash flood that had occurred due to an unseasonable amount of rain. I have to admit that I had been dreaming (for months) of big open crystal clear waters, abundant with stone flies and red-sides. The chocolate milk river we encountered made my heart sink. But... Vail showed us how to fish in the MOST adverse conditions, and kept our spirits high with all the right ingredients: good guiding, good food, good drink, and great company.
